Pros
You have the opportunity to work with both Lenovo and CTG, providing diverse perspectives. Some assistants are wonderful to work with and create a positive work environment. The role offers exposure to a well-known brand and potential for networking within Lenovo.
Cons
The dual management structure (Lenovo and CTG) can feel bureaucratic and inefficient. As a CTG contractor, it’s common to feel like an "outsider" since many perks, benefits, and employee groups are reserved for Lenovo employees. Transitioning from a CTG contractor to a full-time Lenovo employee is difficult, even after years of service, despite management’s reassurances. CTG contractors receive lower pay and fewer benefits compared to Lenovo employees. Some CTG PTO is automatically used for Lenovo holidays, giving you less flexibility in how you use your time off. Opportunities for pay raises are limited, and the company is unlikely to match competitive offers from other employers.
