Pros

If you are a self-motivated doer, willing to learn and grow, can handle feedback and criticism, and constantly improve your work then this is the right place for you. If you are the kind of person who wants to be spoon fed specific instructions, cry and complain about everything, who like to TALK about ideas rather than EXECUTE them, then this is probably not the place for you. It's a small company with a small team but it ACTUALLY FEELS like a team, compared to other places I have worked at where "team work" is nothing more than an HR pitch to prospective employees. There is a lot to be learned from the management. The company is traditional in every sense of the word. In the age of startups with very dubious management and business models, their traditionalism is refreshing. It's one of those things that they don't teach you in your entrepreneurship 101 class. Overall, much like their product, this is a unique company with extremely talented individuals. If you want to surround yourself with such people, great place to work. But it is certainly not for everyone.

Cons

Like I said above, this company is not for everyone. The management is tough with high standards.

Pros

I disagree with the other reviewers. I worked for CTC for four years, moving from tech support analyst to the national sales engineer during that time. The work was sophisticated and challenging, and I was treated and compensated well. It is fair to say that this is a challenging environment with high expectations. Is that bad? Not in my view. This software drives life and death medical reporting. There is not much tolerance for error; but for good reason. That said, I made a serious mistake once at work, one that had a significant client impact. I wasn’t fired, demoted, etc. We worked through it, I’m confident, because I had the trust of the president and he understood that even best efforts sometimes fall short. When I decided it was time to move my family across country, I was able to continue working from home. How many employers allow that? And, after I left the company to pursue a career in law, Dr. Liberman still sends me holiday cards years later. As for old technology, well, I get it. New tech is sexier. But older technology still drives a LOT of serious business applications for many companies huge and small. So that criticism rings at least a bit hollow, at least for a serious tech employee. Bottom line, this isn’t a perfect job for everyone. You do have to be good, and sometimes have a thick skin. But experiences vary and mine was quite good.

Cons

It’s a small company with a dominant leader. Either you will click or you won’t last. Nothing unusual about that though.

Pros

The pay is fairly competitive. If you are a person who enjoys to be fairly independent, this position will leave you on your own most of the time.

Cons

Toxic Environment, poor benefits, poor leadership, laughable equipment and development environment. This is a terrible environment to work in. If you are coming through a recruiter, chances of you being fired/laid off before Dr. Liberman owes the recruiting company money is very high. If you aren't coming through a recruiter and you are near your 6 month period to for your benefits to kick in, chances of you being fired/laid off are fairly high. Just ask yourself: Why are there only 2 long term employees working for the company? Why do former employees only stay for a few months and then leave? Well, I gave you the answer above. Only advice is for you to use this company ONLY as a short stepping stone. As soon as you are hired by CTC, immediately start looking for new work and leave ASAP because chances are that CTC/Dr. Liberman will try to get rid of you anyway after he had enough use of your service(s).
