Pros
just few 1) Very frank CEO 2)Got to work direct on the project(No chance you get on bench)
Cons
lots of( i m not anti comviva) 1)Work culture: a) There is nothing called work culture here b) They hire from very good colleges like NIT, BIT, BITS,VIT,Manipal etc (started from 2011)but there is huge gap in the expectation and skill at the middle layer(Managerial Layer ). There are three level of employees in comviva. Level 1 :- People at top level like CEO,CTO etc they are very open. The Business Development team are also very effiicient(newly hired are from IIMs). Level 2 :- People who have owned the legacy and continuing this company from very long time(more than 8-10 yrs), few were joined this company as fresher and still continuing. These are managers. Level 3 :- People who are at the bottom so called engineers at all level like engineer, sr. engineer, lead engineer etc. Now Level 1 thinks that we are hiring best engineers so we are going to get way ahead. Level 3 thinks that this is a product based company there is lot more to learn than any other service based company and package is good(marginal to service based companies). They are correct at this point. Now comes Level 3. This people are so inefficient that they hardly have any leadership quality and forget about resource management. Most of the time they themselves are confused and they treat the quality resource as unskilled labour. Level 3 people are neither from good college nor from good company so can't bring good work culture in the place. 2)Team outing and team lunch will be like a dream came true for you. If you have planned for team lunch managers get surprised and may ask you also "team lunch for wat?". They may even call you from outing if you have gone to work 3)Some of managers come late to ofc so they go late. but there expectation is you have to be sitting in your work space till they leave. If you are a kind of guy works who want work-life balance... worst place to work for. if you follow timing of leaving at 6:15pm you will get worst rating while appraisal irrespective of your contribution in official working hours. 4)In compensation there is a component which is life time trap in company(similar to bond) which you will have to pay any time you leave this company irrespective of how many years you have worked here. so the main aim is to make work you without paying or minimum in notice period because its not in the companies interest. 5)Its not in the companies interest to pay you extra if you are working on weekend or extra hour beyond the official working hours. They give 1 day compensatory leave for every two days extra work. HR explains it as a policy to avoid the habit of working in weekends but managers will call you to work. Then they say its requirement of the project.
