Pros

Offer part-time or full-time employment, you choose your schedule.

Cons

I've been in HR for 11+ years and it is truly unfortunate that an HR consulting firm would treat it's consultants as it does. They will lure you in with supposed compassion stating that they understand the needs of people with families to work part-time and give you a false sense of trust. Fast forward to when the client I was working for offered me a permanent role directly with them and I declined because I truly wanted to stay in my part-time role to spend more time with my kids and I was trying to be loyal to the consulting firm. One of the new leadership people of that client didn't like me declining their offer, she stopped talking to me and made negative things up about me to the consulting owner. My consulting group claimed they trusted me, told me the person at the client was a terrible person and my consulting group wanted me moved to a new client asap to get away from someone like her. Instead, they strung me along for a bit to finish out the contract for them and, in a bid to save face and make the client was happy with my consulting group and to keep their business for the future, they terminated me and categorized it as "poor performance". Not once had I ever received a complaint about my work for the client. My client even offered me a permanent role, so how is my performance poor? My consulting group was only ever given praise about me from the client leadership team until the new leadership role made up the stories about me. Since then, I heard from someone else in the consulting group about their similar, awful treatment of her, how people outside of Connected-HR believe this consulting group is "shady" and I just heard from another past consultant that they were awful to her when she left. Please, if you want a truly secure job, do NOT work for this company. It seems too good to be true and, unfortunately, it is. It is sad that a company representing HUMAN RESOURCES does this to its own employees. Thanks to them, I've lost my part-time role with more time with my children.
