Pros
I joined Connell Consulting as a new graduate last year, and despite starting during the pandemic, I am really enjoying it. - We have a supportive and close-knit team who socialise in and outside of work. - Everyone is approachable and friendly. We have an informal 'open door' policy and actively work and learn collaboratively across all levels of the team. - There is opportunity for rapid career growth; within a year I was managing my own projects and engaging with clients directly. - We receive learning and training in excel, business writing and financial models. - There is opportunity to write articles and be published in industry magazines. - The company is an exciting and fast paced environment. The nature of our project work means that we often have a 4-6 week deadline. - The health and social care sector is engaging and topical, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic. The sector is a really interesting interface between private and public markets, with a landscape highly regulated by government and local authority policy. - We have ample networking opportunities with a range of people from investors, to other advisors, to healthcare operators. The firm regularly holds networking events which the whole team are encourage to attend and participate at. - The firm is a market leader in the sector and the team have significant knowledge and expertise. - Good benefits and perks: private healthcare, lunch allowance, annual leave allowance and competitive salary. And most importantly... -Dog-friendly office.
Cons
We sometimes have to work longer hours/ overtime, but it's very dependent on the project. However, we do have a positive and fair culture - if you're working longer hours, chances are that management are too.
