Pros
Great ownership and management who have developed a company with a culture of responsibility and autonomy, coupled with a unique business model that not only works, but gives you a stake in the company through profit sharing. I’m making this review after seeing some recent reviews by people who may be confused on what CED is. The greatest thing about CED is that there is no corporate, top down structure. Ownership and senior management tasks each of its locations to operate as an individual business. As an individual business, YOU get to determine; your target market, target customers, what your inventory needs to be to support those customers, who you buy that product from, and what you sell it for, among many other things. That being said, regional management involvement in local sales is anti-CED. We are not a corporation in the traditional sense. We are a conglomerate of independent locations, who use the capital of our parent company to finance our operation with the intent of turning a profit. The most recent review, at the time of me making this is titled, “Money isn’t everything”. While I don’t disagree, my family comes first, you literally came to a company that calls it’s locations PROFIT centers. When it comes to this job, IT IS all about money. Full stop. As a PC manager I’m constantly thinking about my businesses finances, ways to increase our profitability and ultimate put my team in a position to earn the biggest profit sharing check possible. For those of you looking here, and thinking about working for CED.. successful people in this company are MONEY MOTIVATED.
Cons
If you aren’t money motivated, hungry to sell, or can’t work without a heavy corporate structure.. this isn’t the place for you.
