Sales organization - Anonymous employee Continuum Lasers Employee Review

Small Company: At any company there is some political maneuvering that goes on between departments. However, I don't see much of that at Continuum. In part due to the tenure of some people, but largely due to management style there is a sense of family/community in Manufacturing. Can't speak for other departments.

Small Company: resource limitations. Great people with great ideas, but sometimes insufficient resources allocated or attention applied to implement significant improvements.

It is probably best suited for entry level positions to get your foot in the door for just about any manufacturing position. Since my departure, several Management position have changed hands, so it might be a better place to work. The current "Mother Company" is The GSI Group.

Pay level much lower than industry standards, Constantly changing benefits due to ownership changing hands. The employees seem to be a group of misfits who cannot excel in the mainstream of the laser industry.
