Pros

There are no pros that are worth mentioning.

Cons

The worst place many others I and have ever worked at. The perks and benefits may have been good a decade ago but compared today’s standards they are subpar. No PTO, 10 days of vacation for the first 5 years, 15 days after the 5th year of employment, vacation days can’t be carried over to next year, working from home is frowned upon, and no 401k plan. Insurance is fully paid but every other company out there now pays for your health insurance or the majority of it. The salary compensation is incredibly low for the area, and management hires under qualified people. They do this on purpose as to low ball them on salary and forces them to do work above their pay grade to reduce cost. The problem is the person hired lacks experience and has no one to guide them. Raises are often talked about and are only given to those who do nothing or suck up to management. Managements thoughts on raises for unmotivated employees is “They are not working hard. Maybe if I give them money, they’ll work harder.” If you are, hardworking upper management will think “They are already working hard. Why would I need to give them more money?” It’s no secret in the office that a lot of people who are promised a raise if they do X. Once they complete X they won’t get the raise since management will stipulate they must do Y, but after Y is done they’ll ask them to do Z. I’ve seen people constantly promised a raise, and given responsibilities added to their plate without receiving compensation for 12+ months. The hours are horrible as upper management does not follow the guidelines themselves. Everyone is told to work 9 am – 6 pm by the CEO who strolls into the office between 1 pm – 4 pm and complains no one is working. Other people in upper management take 2 – 3-hour long lunches where they come back to the office intoxicated and will constantly show up late too. Often, you’ll hear the CEO badmouth an employee for no apparent reason other than being spiteful. His big thing used to be calling everyone donkeys and saying he could fire everyone the next day and the company would still make money. Literally no one I know approves of the CEO and even the people who suck up to him by constantly drinking whiskey after work are exhausted of him. He often gets involved in day-to-day business decisions where he obviously lacks knowledge and experience. Usually, these decisions backfire and hurt the company or are so bad people just hope he forgot he asked anyone to do it. Anyone who voices their opinion or wants to bring up the problems in the office are deemed disgruntled employees and are ignored. Sadly, upper management doesn’t realize that they may be disgruntled for valid reasons as it’ll force them to admit they are terrible at what they do.

Pros

Contour is very close-knit and becomes more like family due to the small number of employees. There is room to grow if you put in the work. Travel opportunities in some really cool places. Great benefits. Dog friendly!

Cons

Sometimes a laid back environment isn't for everyone. You need to have self discipline / a self-starter mentality here.

Pros

Laid back, and a cool, small team.

Cons

Lots of decisions come from Europe, so you never know what will happen next.
