Pros

Nice office and location in downtown Palo Alto. The concept of Convetit is a strong one and the message resonates with the market.

Cons

So I waited a few months to write this so I could give a fair and impartial review. In short, Convetit is a hostile work environment, led by the CEO (Tom). If you want to get verbally abused, always feel like you're walking on eggshells, don't want your opinion valued or heard, or enjoy waiting for the ticking time bomb that is Tom to explode- then this is the place for you! You may think that just doing everything Tom says will let you avoid his wrath, but no. His outbursts can come and go for no reason at all. Trying to please him is like hitting a moving target. You're darned if you do, darned if you don't. Tom is also very 'loyalty' focused. If there's any hint of you looking for a new position or getting ready to move on, then he'll fire you immediately (no severance, no warning). There's absolutely nothing illegal about this, but shows a lack of respect and consideration. Also, I don't like focusing so much of this review on one person (the CEO), but since it's a small startup, the entire culture and vibe of the company is determined by the CEO so there's no way around it. He is the company's worst enemy. But when you first meet Tom, he will come across as incredibly charming and outgoing (which he is!). He is a great salesperson, but eventually, his demons come out and overtake the best that is within him. If you work here, you will be actively choosing to be in an abusive relationship. You've been warned.

Pros

This is classic enterprise sales. Deal sizes are large and commissions are generous.

Cons

No cons. With anything, you need to work towards hitting your number.

Pros

I oversee HR for Convetit, which gives me some unique insights that may help give a more comprehensive view of the company. The company’s diverse team has been growing quickly to meet the demand for the innovative products that they offer. When making new hires and considering promotions, the management team count personal drive and growth among their primary considerations. In my experience, the team is motivated and hard-working. Encouraging team members to take charge of their role and meet their potential is certainly a part of the Convetit culture. Tom, the CEO, takes a proactive role supporting the group with team building activities and daily “stand-up” meetings where company plans are shared with the entire team and dialogue is encouraged. Among the best perks for Convetit employees is the group health care plan. It includes medical, dental, and vision insurance and the company covers 80% of premiums to help ensure that its an affordable option for all employees. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Full-Time Employees/Contractors Total Hired: 31 Current: 16 Total Terminated/Resigned: 15 Total Percent Women: 38.7% Total Percent Minority: 35.48% 5-Month Terminations/Resignations: 2 Total Formal HR Complaints: 0

Cons

This beginning, fast-growth phase has been a time for the company to learn what works and what doesn’t. This did lead to more resignations and terminations, initially . However, as Convetit evolves and the culture becomes better defined, the management team seems to have a better understanding of what works for the company and the turnover rate continues to decrease - a positive change for the company.
