Pros
Cooley is very progressive and constantly offers employees ways and means to maintain physical and mental health. Cooley also provides many opportunities for everyone to sit on various committees such as Diversity, Ethics and Inclusion. Morale at Cooley is very high.
Cons
Cooley had a long history of never or rarely firing or laying off personnel: until this last November 30 when completely and shockingly they laid off 89 lawyers and 82 other professionals including myself. It was devastating to say the least. The trade papers tore them up for this and rightly so. They really, really hurt this group of people due to their own careless overspending. It's doubtful this will really even make much of a difference. Shameful. Even so if they asked me back I would go.
