Pros

Lots of time to work directly with clients. Motivated, enthusiastic, exceptionally talented coworkers. The organization values flexibility, team work and creativity. Management is responsive to staff concerns.

Cons

CDI is a virtual office, so personal interactions with co-workers is limited. Can be easy to overextend yourself to meet the high expectations that co-workers put on themselves. Spend a good amount of time driving to reach clients. As a small organization advancement is limited.

Pros

I have been with CDI for 3 years and it has been a great team to work with and we are doing powerful work together. We are given a lot of creative freedom and respect. We have a skilled team of people that bring different experiences and backgrounds into the organization. Our work makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients by creating space for them to take on cooperative ownership of a business.

Cons

Working remotely can be challenging for some people as it can limit the in-person connections that you have with co-workers, but we often spend a lot of time with clients and have at least two staff retreats a year. There is so much to learn about the work and the organization, which can be daunting at first, but there is a strong focus on learning and professional development.
