Pros

Turnover is extremely high- even for the restaurant industry. Seniority was easy to obtain, could pretty much get away with whatever. Changed availability only worked when I wanted to. Brunch makes the restaurant busy Saturday and Sunday mornings and are guaranteed job money with high prices, unique to make such good morning on a morning shift. Freedom to add gratuity to larger parties.

Cons

Once customers realize a lenient manager will comp items and they can get something for free they will take advantage of that! Copeland's needs to stand up for its product and employees in these situations, things like offering extensive coupons does not attract the clients you want. Low class clients tip terribly on high checks despite receiving excellent service, this causes every good server to leave and go elsewhere. People in MD just do not understand the food, the menu needed to be better catered for the area. Also management would frequently adjust servers clock out times to make it earlier to avoid paying overhead- highly illegal. The decision of corporate in October 2013 to make servers wait for this tips on a check is frankly ridiculous and not done in the restaurant industry, this caused whatever good servers were left to leave or become highly unsatisfied with the company.
