      Pros

      The people make where you work anywherected you go. I loved the job, loved the people I worked with. Didn't mind the inmate to CO ratios, it's prison. Great benefits for entry level work.

      Cons

      Management in Tennessee, they are more out of sight out of mind. They decided to shut down my prison and try to keep people working there with no headstart on getting employment at other places. Only the promise that "we will get another contract here." Then when the contract finally ended they told everyone that when a new contract would be awarded we coukd be hired back at out same rate. Wrong again. They did not have to honor that if they waited over 6 months to have a new contract come in. 6 months and one day and a new contract moved in and they dropped starting pay 5 an hour. They will hurt whomever they can to put money in corporates pockets.

      Thank you for your feedback. We close facilities only as a last resort. Generally only if the contract we are operating under is re-awarded to another vendor. In the case of your facility this is exactly what happened. The company then tried to work with other partners to find a new inmate population that would allow us to keep the facility open. When new contracts are awarded the pay rates are part of the contract negotiation, we make every effort to keep personnel employed at our facilities, sometimes that may require difficult choices based on new contract rates.

      Pros

      CC Uses cutting-edge Technologies, which is good experience for resume building; many of the Teams are collaborative; interesting work and you can believe in company goals.

      Cons

      Director and Manager level mgmt at corporate here do not provide guidance on projects. There is a lot of turnover on data projects because new employees are thrown into the deep end and then just blamed if results are not as expected. CC really needs more hands-on project oversight. There are also behavioral and anger issues with a couple long-time ppl as well, and this is both exhausting and (sometimes) outright humiliating. They need to treat new people better.
