Pros

Many of my closest coworkers have become true friends due to trauma bonding.

Cons

At its heart, Corpay is a company led by mediocre men (predominantly white) who find their power in talking down to their subordinates and somehow being experts in everything. Take the new "Corpay Guy." He represents how leadership wishes to be perceived, and with the hairline, they wish they still had. On my team, you'd be hard-pressed to find more than 3 of the 20+ members actively looking for their escape. If I had a healthier savings account, I'd quit and never look back. Women will find navigating the old boys' club incredibly challenging - there is no "Corpay Gal" after all. On my team, the male leaders have better titles and presumably better pay than their female counterparts. Multiple times, I've witnessed female leaders voice an idea only to have it struck down by management. Mere moments later, a male leader will repeat what the women previously said, only to have the concept praised. Everything is a priority, and fire drills are constant. I can't recall a time when there wasn't a fire drill. This continuous chaos and lack of strategic planning puts all its employees in the lurch, constantly trying to figure out what we're doing. On top of this, you will not get paid a fair market rate for your work - unless you pretend it's 2005 and that boxes of cereal don't cost nearly $10. You'll notice a continuous stream of openings available at Corpay, Fleetcor, and other brands. Those jobs are open primarily because a perfectly reasonable employee made the tough choice to uproot their career and move on because the environment is toxic and unhealthy.

We are grateful for your candid perspective on your time at Corpay. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we recognize the seriousness of the concerns you’ve raised, especially those related to equity, respect, and the experiences of women in the workplace. Hearing that you and your colleagues have bonded over shared frustrations signals areas where we must do better. Your feedback about disparities in how ideas are received, differences in titles and pay, and the challenges of navigating a “boys’ club” culture is being taken seriously. We are actively reviewing our practices around compensation, promotion, and idea-sharing to ensure all employees—regardless of gender—are treated with fairness, equity, and respect. We are committed to creating an inclusive, psychologically safe workplace that demands accountability and visible action from leadership. We also acknowledge your comments about the frequency of fire drills and unclear strategic direction. The fast pace of our industry should never come at the cost of planning, clarity, and employee well-being. We are working to improve prioritization processes, reduce unnecessary urgency, and provide employees with the resources they need to succeed. Regarding compensation, we understand that fair pay is not only about market rates but also about recognizing experience and contributions. Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your contributions at Corpay. We appreciate your recognition of the strong work-life balance and management support you experienced. It is valuable to know that aspects of your time here were positive and well-supported. At the same time, we understand how deeply that experience can change when repeated layoffs begin to affect not only teams, but also the leaders and managers employees rely on most. When layoffs feel widespread and disconnected from performance or productivity, it can create a strong sense of instability and uncertainty for everyone who remains. Employees want to believe that hard work, consistency, and contribution matter, and when that connection feels unclear, it can seriously impact morale, trust, and long-term confidence in the organization. Your feedback highlights the significant impact leadership decisions have on the employee experience. Even with a strong team culture, workforce reductions can overshadow daily positives and leave employees feeling unsettled or undervalued. The loss of trusted colleagues can make it challenging to maintain engagement, support, and balance. Thank you for sharing your perspective and advice. Your feedback underscores the importance of employees feeling heard and respected during major decisions. It also reminds leadership to listen closely to those closest to the work and culture.
