Pros

At the time I'm writing this the team is still small (12 people) but growing fast. It's a good time to get in and be a part of something that is going to be huuuuge. The people are awesome, friendly, intelligent, and willing to help when they get a spare minute. Everyone has can-do attitudes (there is no problem that can't be solved) and if you ever get stuck on something there will be people there to pitch in an idea to help you move along. The office environment is relaxed, but not lazy; everyone here is a super hard worker. A lot of that comes from another thing I find a pro, which is a huge amount of ownership over what you're doing. There is little to no "micro-managing" so if you like to see things actually happen you better be prepared to go out and get it. That being said, you're more than welcome to have a beer at your desk while getting it. You'll learn a ton about things you never even thought to ask about, as the team is great at sharing/teaching (go figure in an education company) through every day interactions. The company is solving a real problem that exists, and you'll quickly realize that not only is that good for business, but good for people/students/schools. It's a nice touch when your business goals align with do-goodery (made that word up).

Cons

Typical startup culture woes (a billion things to accomplish, not quite a billion people to accomplish them). Be prepared to spend some long hours! This is definitely not an environment for people who want to clock in at 9 and out at 5. If you're not prepared to put in the work to actually make things happen (with nobody really telling you how to do it, mind you), you will likely fail here. Non self-starters need not apply (whew, good tongue twister!). Small teams can be interesting social situations to navigate. Not necessarily a "con" but definitely something different for anyone coming from a larger company background.

Pros

Some of the guests I did events for were very fun. And I loved some of my co-workers when I got to interact with them.

Cons

They are incredibly shady- even more now that new ownership has taken over. Genuinely is trying to just cut all corners when it comes to value in their product and the treatment of their employees. After no pay increase over 2 years working there, they actually started to pay us less. It blows my mind. Their product is mediocre at best because they tried to just pump out as many games as they possibly could without caring about the quality or instruction when it came to running them.
