Don’t work in Pittsburgh - Counselor Cove Forge Behavioral Health System Employee Review

I absolutely love the staff - from CEO to cafeteria workers, techs, supervisors/management, counselors, and so many more. Despite the daily challenges of dealing with large client caseloads, we all manage to still have fun and laugh. Senior management is awesome as well - they exude mutual respect. All departments work really good together - this is hard to come by and not seen much in my career. Hats off to everybody!! The people you work with must be positive in order to work in this environment - that’s what you get with CF - a SUPER group of positive persevering employees, who care deeply. It’s the best group I’ve had the pleasure of working with, in many years. Benefits are great - full coverage and reasonable cost. 401K kicks in after 90 days. The programs for the clients are outstanding and the facility is as clean as any rehab hospital. Most clients graduate the program with success of a certificate and coin. It’s a nice clean campus, with again, wonderful coworkers and supervisors. Senior management is seen daily too which is a shocker. The CEO is NOT on a golf course! She’s (yes I said she) knee deep in all projects and campus operations. It’s just great facility with a successful program that is run by great people! The training and certification programs offered are exceptional!! If you like helping addicts (and mental Health), I highly recommend Cove Forge as a place of employment!!

As an industry, as a whole, the pay is competitive, but like any job, everybody wants more money. No cons about the company from a past employee perspective. Staffing levels are low due to location, so there’s some stress with caseloads, but we are team who always lends a hand to help each other. If you love the outdoors and beautiful nature you will love Cove Forge. It’s a wonderful place to work and I highly recommend it!! For personal reasons (some clients leave, and are successful), I reluctantly resigned, otherwise, I would still be working there in some capacity, but was unable to apply to other internal positions based on a tenure less than 1 year.

Cove Forge is a wonderful place for Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, also it is a Dual Diagnosis Facility. The staff at Cove Forge truly care about their clients and helping them recover. The staff put in a lot of effort and time every day for their clients. Staff also continuously works on improvement/ growth by attending trainings, meetings, making changes etc. Cove Forge has added many new additions through the years including the Ropes Course. It is a beautiful place to start your recovery and build your foundation with the help of the staff members that work there. WE DO RECOVER and I’M ALL IN!

There aren't any cons that I have to Share. Any place you work will have pros and cons. But if you like to help people in their path of recovery, then you won't let any cons keep you from doing your best and exceeding your potential.
