Pros

I have been doing this for over 21 years 19 of those years have been with Dave Merrill when he was getting the Merrill Group on its feet. My first 2 years were with 4 different companies. There have been rocky times but I can honestly say Dave has never forgot he was an investigator first. He has made moves with the hopes of making things better for all not just himself. Advancement is available but it does happen over night. I had opportunities but I an a worker bee and chose stay in the field. The company has always been innovative trying to make things easier and efficient. I have more case managers that most people and I think that all of them wanted me to succeed because when we don't that always reflects on them.

Cons

Transitions are tough all the time but this one was a little more so because of how it suddenly it occurred. Since everything we do is time sensitive the change has but a burden on everyone and it creates tension. Take a breath.

In the investigator industry, the volume and type of work can vary due to factors outside of our control, such as client needs, case locations, and seasonal demand. While we cannot eliminate these fluctuations, we are committed to doing everything we can to keep our investigators working consistently. This includes securing new clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and delivering high-quality results that generate additional opportunities. Our goal is to minimize downtime and create as much stability as possible in an inherently variable industry. We genuinely value constructive feedback, as it helps us grow and improve. Pros

Nothing at all, no pros working here.

Cons

So many! Working 12-14 hour days, a terrible salary, working weekends to keep up, Zero work life balance, more and more work added daily . Micromanaged 24/7 on top of a below industry standard salary. Management plays favorites. No time to work with employees but still expected too. High turnover rate.
