Thank you for taking the time to share this. It’s never easy to read feedback like this, but it matters - and as CEO I take responsibility for the experience people have at CreateFuture.
You’ve raised concerns around culture, management layers and the impact of recent organisational changes. These are themes we’ve been actively working on, and I want to address them directly.
On culture:
You described CreateFuture as a toxic place to work. That’s absolutely not how we want anyone to feel. We’ve been putting a lot of focus this year into strengthening team leadership, building psychological safety, and making sure people feel respected and supported day-to-day. Many people do have a positive experience here, but I recognise it hasn’t been consistent enough — and that inconsistency is something we’re tackling head-on, with over 150 Creatrs engaged in a culture refresh exercise just this month.
On management layers:
You mentioned the organisation feeling too management-heavy. As we’ve transitioned from our embedded teams model into a consulting business, some of our structures haven’t kept pace with the work. We’ve already started simplifying layers, clarifying roles and making sure managers stay close to delivery and genuinely add value. This will remain a priority as we move into 2026.
On redundancies:
Just to be clear on this point: we have not run widespread redundancy programmes. There have been a small number of difficult decisions as the business has evolved — similar to many companies — but they’ve been limited and handled transparently. I appreciate that even small changes can feel more significant inside teams, and we need to communicate better when they happen.
On the feeling of the place:
Hearing that CreateFuture felt like a sad place to work is something I take seriously. We’ve been investing in clearer career paths, stronger leadership capability and more open feedback loops, but we know there’s still work to do. Our focus now is on rebuilding connection, trust and momentum so people feel valued, supported and proud of the work they’re doing.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. It helps us get better, and I’m committed, along with the leadership team, to making the improvements needed to build the CreateFuture we all want, and I hope you can be part of helping us make the changes.
Thanks,
Euan
