Pros
The only pro I can think of is that I am employed. This place is hell. I guess the transit benefits and the gym membership is nice?
Cons
The management is inconsistent and does not care about junior staff. This is from the CEO down to the mid-level management. They are not trained on management best-practices and are not held to any standards on how to train, manage, or engage with employees. Several colleagues have told me about inappropriate behavior (trying to set up junior female staff with friends, saying really rude/mean things) and when there is no accountability this can be done with impunity. Junior staff are really smart, motivated, and hold great potential but are made to manage budgets all day and are not given any opportunities to improve technical skills unless they happen to have a good manager--there is no consistency in this. If you're really interested in exploring a topic you are told to sit down and wait your turn but your turn will never come.
