Pros
1. Amazing people! They are kind, incredibly smart, and hungry. They know how to have fun AND work hard! 2. I like the opportunity at Cricut. We're big enough that we're not in new start-up territory, but there is still so much to build. The potential for Cricut is really high and it's great to be part of that and feel like I am making an impact. 3. Our product and our mission is amazing. I'm a user and I've not only enjoyed seeing the impact in my own life, but I love seeing how our members are creating. There is a lot of purpose to what we are doing which is intriguing and satisfying as an employee. 4. The culture is great. The company has gone through growing pains since COVID, and the culture has sometimes dipped, but I believe that management really does care about the type of culture and environment that we have at Cricut and is making an effort to make it even better. 5. The benefits are competitive, at least in the US. Really great company 401k match. Making improvements every year.
Cons
1. Our software still needs some work. I know the team is hard at work on this, so it's in progress, but as a user myself, I get frustrated and hate to see when our members are frustrated too. 2. Need to expand medical to cover other hospitals and providers outside of Select Health in UT. 3. Managers are expected to be individual contributors as well as leaders. This is fine and has a lot of pros to it, but one major con is the lack of time to be a good leader and the lack of training / support to be a good leader. Experience can vary depending on who someone's manager is. It'd be great if that were more consistent.
