Pros
Don’t actually need a license to call yourself a medical assistant, they just hire anyone. Say a lot of pretty things to make you feel excited to be there. Family atmosphere (including bickering, unreasonable expectations, and playing favorites).
Cons
Can’t trust anyone or anything that I said to you. Will constantly make promises that sounds nice, but they will never uphold. High turnover because they work you like a dog and treat you like a number. You can get lots of overtime because they give you more than 40 hours worth of work in a week and punish you if you can’t complete it or don’t work overtime to finish. You will be constantly expected to cover your workload and your coworkers when they call out or quit with no relief. Certain staff members are favoriteed while others get targeted. You are punished for being good at your job.
