Pros
You are guaranteed a certain number of hours each week by the union. And, you automatically get raises the longer you work here. You're protected from suddenly losing your job as well. They gave us a two dollar an hour raise for three months during the pandemic as well as a 200-400 dollar gift card based on how much you worked- this is due to our excellent union negotiating these raises.
Cons
Depending on the location you may be overworked due to high turn over rate, or you may have nothing to do because they've hired too many people. The locations that have high turnover rate are in lower income areas that have frequent issues with homeless customers being disruptive, while those that have hired too many people are in the higher income areas.
