Pros
This is an easy job, set up for success if people are in their positions. Pay is competitive with other fast food places. Culver's as an actual company is actually a great place, always fresh ingredients, and proud of what they offer. Advancement in the company can be easy.
Cons
They make you take an unpaid 30 minute break every shift. Outside of that, there is no stepping outside for a smoke or some air. Very corporate atmosphere. Mostly young kids work here, including management. At the location I worked at, it would have been great other than the fact that all the people who had been there for any substantial amount of time left basically at the same time and at the same time that upper management was changing. So everything is chaotic all of the time, there was never a good full staff because of the high turnover rate, so every day the employees feel that understaffed stress... They also are very gossipy due to the fact that most managers are just out of high school (and all knew eachother at school) and there is a lot of laziness. The upper management seems to be ok outside of the store level but inside the store from top to bottom there are too many problems to name. Mainly though, they do not care about the right things like their employees needs!! Or their responsibilities as employers to an employee (such as reviews!!) They are full of empty promises and very little action on the dreams they sell you. There is an utterly disgusting lack of communication for how much they talk to eachother... And the management do not know how to professionally talk to people. When the G.M. has been described by others to have sounded to be "getting ghetto" and yelling while behind a closed door with an employee, there is something wrong... And then they are mad when a team member is feeling disgruntled after months and months...
