Pros
My first supervisor in IT and my boss in IT were the best! They gave me the opportunity to grow and to learn while helping me achieve the goals I wanted. IT manager would let me work from home when I needed to but the local site would cry and complain all the time about how it was unfair.
Cons
Once I had achieved those goals HR didn't want to pay to keep me but wanted me to devote more and more time to the company. Got so bad that I was on Food Stamps and still carrying my laptop and cell phone for the company on the short vacations I could take. 24x7 on call with no compensation.
