Pros
* Compensation (i.e., salary, health, dental, and other benefits) package * Smart and friendly co-workers * Some commercial services and products in addition to its primary government services work, and senior management is actively pursuing opportunities outside of the company's main government customer * Management will, for the most part, try to place employees on new contracts. Management seems to have a good working/teaming relationship with other defense contractors and with the customer, so this has generally worked out for people that hold the requisite clearances * When cash flow was an issue, senior management took compensation cuts to limit layoffs and to maintain the same great employee benefits and salaries (but also see the first bullet in Cons)
Cons
* Communication--up, down, and laterally--could be better * Struggled a bit to regain footing after losing some international work, but life has its ups and downs * It is unclear (see the first bullet) if management conducts any after action review on wins and losses to tease out lessons that could be learned, and it is also not clear if these lessons are captured and applied to future bids and engagements
