Pros
Free food often, very (too) laid back environment, company field trips (legitimately fun too), decent pay/hours.
Cons
Here's why I have a problem with these guys... - Terrible management. The work flow these people use is just so inefficient... They only gave me good feedback and told me I was doing an excellent job which is why I was shocked when they let me go suddenly. I can recall multiple separate occasions where either my manager or co-workers picked apart my work in detail because they were impressed. They had all these things that had never been brought up in the 4 months I had worked there. Nobody communicated with each other... the amount of arguments I saw because for example a guy's desk got moved and nobody even told him about it until he walked in... straight up avoidable situations a good 9 out of 10 times. - Outdated everything. For a company who likes to put on a good face at events and flex to its bigger hollywood partners they really should invest within rather than just keep trying to fake it until they make it. What I mean by this is when I worked there, the computers would crash like 1-3 times a week and we'd always have to move whole setups around because they couldn't get their act together. - Aggressive favoritism of certain employees....which gets SUPER old. Plus I was fighting an uphill battle from day 1 because they said they "don't like electronic music people" (my sound engineering background). The guy who would leave trash and apple cores all over his office never got a word said to him... and the dude who would sleep on the job I guess the company policy was "dont ask dont tell" with him (but only him). List is endless with that stuff. - Worst part is the backwards way of working in Pro Tools they have transfers to ZERO other companies.... hard to explain why but if you saw the process it would also have you scratching your head. Last but not least, the high turnover rate reinforces everything you just read.
