Pros

There is seriously nothing good about DHR International. I wish there is something positive I could say.

Cons

If you are looking at working for or with DHR International, make sure you do your homework. Simple Google or Bing searches should reveal the track record: just search for "DHR International litigation". There is even a Blog site where someone is tracking all of the lawsuits against DHR International in the US and around the world. There are an incredible number of lawsuits against DHR International started by its clients and former employes.

Pros

DHR has built a great culture that projects its Midwest values on a global scale; employees celebrate the collective success of the organization. It's a great environment for young professionals and post-grads looking to launch a career in executive search. You'll receive exposure to a lot of different industries and work with some impressive search partners (albeit most are past the pinnacle of their careers).

Cons

DHR provides great foundational experience for post-grads looking to break into executive search. However, due to below-market compensation and limited financial incentives to retain top performers, it's a churn-and-burn environment among the research population but leadership is ok with that - it's become the model under the family office.
