      Under scholarship one can focus on the PhD only and finish it faster than under other contracts.

      Cons

      Very low salary for very long, with no contribution to social security. No possibility of applying for permanent residence or german nationality. Very low or no acountability to supervisors, opening to systematic neglect, low support, and abuse.
