Pros

Some nice and talented colleagues

Cons

Where to start? When I was hired, I was told that the company wanted people with my skillset and wanted to expand our department. In truth, DLRC never cared about or respected my skillset; my job title was a buzzword to them that they could use in marketing and thought that anybody could do my job. Because of this attitude, projects were under-budgeted, making it difficult to produce quality work in unrealistic timeframes. When employees raised concerns and put any recommendations and suggestions to senior management, they were shrugged off. Throughout my tenure, senior management seemed more preoccupied with awards and shallow puffery trying to make the company sound like it was doing better than it was. There was blatant favouritism, continually recognising and giving new career opportunities to the favourites while blocking career progression of others. Their future plans for the company consisted of a bunch of slogans. Senior management may wax lyrical about promoting wellbeing, but in reality they've passed responsibility of wellbeing onto the employees while doing everything to wreck it. DLRC made many senior staff redundant during 2024. Even though this was a tough year for many companies, this may have been the result of the overhiring at DLRC during 2021 and 2022 that was not backed by any increase in work coming in. The redundancy process was a sham, led by someone with the people skills of a slime mould who implemented an unfair system of selecting those who would be made redundant that had nothing to do with performance. The worst thing about this company is that they market it to employees as something it's not; the company values on the website do not reflect how DLRC operates in practice and employees' lives are clearly expendable.

Pros

Dynamic working environment with a variety of opportunities, working with different clients on different project types. A great place for those new to the environment to learn more about and gain experience within the regulatory landscape. Flexible working hours with fully remote/hybrid working ability. The company also supports working abroad for a selected number of days throughout the year, allowing for increased travel opportunities. Friendly and collaborative team - working with people who genuinely care about delivering the best work to clients, keeping patients in mind always. Strong focus on ESG and wellbeing, involved with several charities.

Cons

As a consultancy, the workload can vary but there are always different activities to be involved in.
