Pros

Nothing, only decent thing was a free gym membership and the coworkers

Cons

The whole company, leadership from the top down is horrible, especially the CEO, he is a toxic controlling leader and literally makes the work place considerably worse every time he shows up They will absolutely fire you for no reason, I saw so many people get fired with zero explanation given, the turnover rate is unbelievable here They will also constantly change your pay structure to try and avoid paying you as much as possible And also don’t expect commission checks on time because leadership isn’t competent

We appreciate all feedback, even when it’s tough to read. That said, we want to be transparent with anyone considering DOPE Marketing: We are a performance-driven company and we move fast. Not everyone thrives in that environment, and that’s okay, but we do hold people accountable, and sometimes that means making hard calls. We’d rather have a lean team of A-players than carry people who aren’t performing. On compensation: our pay structure evolves as the company grows. We’re always upfront about this. On commission timing, that’s feedback we take seriously operationally. If you’re a high performer who wants to grow quickly, be rewarded for results, and help build something, we’d love to meet you. If you’re looking for comfort and stability over growth, we’re probably not your place

Pros

Competitive compensation plan, free snacks and drinks available at all times in the break room, plenty of company swag available at no cost, quality equipment provided, free gym membership, wonderful, friendly, and supportive colleagues, and a fun, driven leadership team who is receptive to feedback.

Cons

Some holes in the training structure which could be problematic for someone who isn't self-driven, however all the departments have great team-players who are willing to mentor and answer questions whenever support is needed.

Pros

Great people. That’s about it.

Cons

Absolutely horrendous management. This company is run by an owner that is emotional and looks for the pettiest reasons possible to fire somebody. I watched the hardest working people I’ve ever met sacrifice time with family, PTO and weekends to make this business better with every fiber of their being, only to be let go with absolutely no warning or legitimate reason. The chief of staff will go out of their way to tell you how safe your job is, only to build up a wall of lies, and ultimately sacrifice you to the firing gods to protect their self and the people they brought on board. There was absolutely no training. I taught myself almost everything I knew with the exception of three employees that went out of their way to help me learn. DOPE operates as a start up well within to its 6th year, and has shifted to a wannabe corporate structure, without the 1 on 1 monthly meetings, no prep for changes and the expectation that you’ll drop what you’ve already learned at the drop of a hat. DOPE stands for Data On Previous Engagement, which would imply it runs itself on data. Unfortunately, all decisions are emotionally driven. Very little data is actually used to make any rational decisions. If you respect yourself, take literally any other opportunity to work anywhere else.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take feedback seriously, even when it’s hard to hear. We won’t pretend DOPE is perfect, we’re a growing company and we’ve made mistakes along the way, including in how we’ve handled transitions and communicated changes. What we will stand behind is our commitment to building a performance-driven culture. We do make hard decisions, and sometimes those decisions move fast. We recognize that’s not comfortable for everyone, and we own that.
