Pros
I work from home 99% of the time and only go for site visits occasionally or go to the office in Vaughan for the monthly meeting. The work life balance is the best I have ever heard of in that you can work a tight 41 hours in a week and not be expected to respond to anything after hours. I have all notifications silent after hours because I can do my job within the working day and can address anything the next day. Ontario has right to disconnect bylaw that forces this everywhere since covid but this is the first workplace that encourages it. All management have very strong family values and prioritize life outside of work so I am never being guilted to do anything in the evenings or on weekends. Vacation is also wildly flexible that I can book days off easily and at will and have never had any requests rejected. Compensation is very competitive and I have received fair raises in my time here. Nothing crazy for raises or bonuses but it is stable growth. I am friends with a lot of my coworkers and enjoy going to work events because part of our key performance indicators are showing interest in networking/team-building, etc. Happy to attend a conference to learn and connect with people in the industry.
Cons
Benefits package could be better as it is on the lower end of what I see in the industry. Also you need to make sure you apply for benefits while on probation otherwise the insurance process takes many months and you will not be insured.
