Pros

Most co-workers were astute, professional and easy to get along with. It is likely an ok place for a few years for someone early in their career.

Cons

Bonuses have been terrible and lower than typical asset managers, likely reflecting bank majority ownership. Company can be unbelievably cheap sometimes. The marketing people I have been told are not very good. This is really hard to understand as a saving. Some areas of the company in NYC have incredible turnover which should be resolved. US business appears to keep shrinking. New asset areas entered often don't work out. Everyone who I know who is no longer there is much happier being out.

Pros

Great Midwest culture, happy to work here

Cons

Some managers can get lost in the grind and get stuck spinning their wheels instead of actually innovating

Pros

no no no no pros!!!

Cons

There are no workable business and technology in US office. Even a subsidiary of DB, its franchise is extremely weaker than any other asset management firms in USA. The margin and flow is too low to retain the clients. Their products are antique and ironically allege valuable. There are neither experienced and early career talents. There are many germans assigned by head office to screw up and politicize US office without US experience. The headquarter is desperate to control freedom of speech and culture is toxic. The education background of most hired people and head office are low. For aspiring candidates, you should never apply.
