Committed middle and junior management working long hours. Good fun and entrepreneurial culture in most parts of the business until early 2013. Some great experience from other FMCG's at management level with some potential at junior levels.
Cons
Company culture poor, development opportunities few and far between, due to budget priorities with autocratic and invisible leadership. A very difficult macro-business environment to manage from board level, leading to blinkered focus on shareholder and M&A management has created a unhealthy culture with poor decisions taken at the top without true accountability being given or taken by senior and middle managers, stifling development of management. A lack of imagination at board level and senior management to support better culture and drive performance resulting in extremely high turnover, which was accepted not addressed. In such a low margin business there seemed to be a lot of waste through poor and inconsistent recruitment at middle to senior level.
