At Damonaz Design, we take pride in the environment we give our employees. We operate with a fully in-house team of full-time employees disciplined in many areas to online marketing. However, we "briefly" ventured in trying out Independent contractor work to handle overflow work to help our internal team in certain areas. We quickly found that the contractors we dealt with were unreliable in terms of turning work in on time or since they were so new to our business failed to full understand the quality of work we needed and thus their production did not meet our standards and most importantly our client's standards. For these 2 main reasons, we cancelled this brief initiative and will continue to employ ONLY internal in-house employees that have a stake into the business. As to the pay for our contractors (which again, we only had a very few), we paid a fair wage (that they agreed upon) for the type of "at-home" work that was being done and it was told "up front" that this was a trial run. We presented the offer and they accepted. If things worked out, we could renegotiate the terms of the work based on the quality they produced. Unfortunately, this initiative was something that didn't meet our client standards. We did inform all contractors that their services were no longer needed. We did give as much constructive feedback as we could but at the end of the day, this was never a consistent gig or job and was told up front that it was based on demand and some weeks there could be no need for their assistance. We thank them all for their attempt but it just didn't work out.
