Pros

There is room for growth if they deem you worthy of it. The salary is decent.

Cons

This company has a lack of vision and really scattered/shift priorities. The hierarchy is constantly shifting to make up for the inadequate knowledge base that exists within the company. It always feels like management is making up the rules as they go. There is a serious waste of talent on some individuals while others ride the wave and coast to the paycheck. Additionally, DI constantly boasts about their diversity and inclusion, but there is clear implicit bias for being white and or male. Women and minority groups will get paid lower, whether or not it is intentional. It appeared that the only people that faced repercussions were the minorities. If anyone paid attention to turn over in the past few years, it was always black/brown employees and women leaving positions because it is difficult to work in such an oppressive environment while watching your white coworkers praise each other for just showing up. Last, there is a complete breakdown of communication throughout the company. For a company that sells a medical device, it felt dangerous the way upgrades or drivers were released. It seemed like all of the departments were enemies and that you had to play a very strategic game if you wanted anything done quickly or correctly. There was a lot of discussion about how to correct this, but there was never usually any follow-through. There used to be Gallup surveys to see how things can improve, and then the company decided to just stop doing them because they could not fix the issues that were coming up in the survey. It was such a shame to see for such a small company that could have really overcome those barriers with just a little effort.

Pros

The pay is decent and the remote work is nice.

Cons

Everything else. Poor management, low/non-existent upward momentum, unreasonable or unclear expectations, poor work/life balance. The health insurance is abysmal and the "flexible PTO" just means that you'll be taking less PTO because you're always overworked and can't find time to take a day or two off.
