Pros

Before they went out of business, the work and clients were interesting and plentiful. Challenging environment and got to work with a bunch of really smart people.

Cons

Management was horrible. This is a chop shop. They only care about money and there is no employee recognition. They went under for obvious reasons.

Pros

This a safe job with a guaranteed paycheck. White Plains is a nice environment to work in, essentially it is a min-Manhattan without the hustle and bustle. DataLan is a great place to gain experience. If you are a technical person who knows SharePoint then you will get a long of hands on experience with people who know even more then you.

Cons

This is not the place if you are the type of person looking to advance and be challenged. The company is very much stuck in it's ways and I wouldn't recommend working here if you are below the age of 35. If you are a young up and comer then I wouldn't suggest working for anything other than an internship.

Pros

Opportunities to learn and get MS Certificates (before all the Architects and the practice director left the company)

Cons

-It’s a Failing company, lots of great employees left the company, very few are left ( 7 employees, 3 of them are Directors + CEO) -The senior managers are stubborn and they aren’t open for suggestion and ideas for improvements. -The CEO gets involved in the day to day work as he desires and causes a lot of confusion and delays, and when issues arises he just steps out and denies the ownership/involvement of the project. -They don’t know how to treat their employees and there is no recognition for achievements. -Not client centric, 80% of projects fails or delayed by months, and in few occasion clients fired Datalan and ended the projects. -The CEO have no manners (with clients and employees). -They use fake titles with the clients to lure them in. -Very low pay, worst benefits, no employees’ activities. -Outsourcing nightmares.
