Pros
By far the most positive work experience I've ever had. The fact that they are private and that they outlicense their developed drugs - not marketing their products directly, gives the company another feel than publically owned, commercial pharma. They reward innovation internally and externally and encourage employees towards excellence. The management is a good balance between intelligent guidance and encouragement to self-manage. The executive level management is inspiring and humble which is rare in pharma. The people in general are kind and very motivated to work hard. People stay here a long time 10, 20, 30 years as it is hard to imagine a better work environment.
Cons
If you need a high pressure environment to perform this is not a place for you. This is for self-driven people who take the initiative to collaborate, ask questions and get things done.
