Pros

A strong desire to explore Power Electronics and Electrification projects. A strong desire not to lose without trying and fighting for survival. Trying to defy CEO plan to consolidate design Centre.

Cons

Imbalance resources allocated for Power Electronics projects creating unnecessary stress and unhappiness among engineers. Strong desire to excel in power Electronics had caused strong desire in management to micromanage engineers. Design Centre is plagued by proven unsuccessful managers who worked in Power Electronics and Electrification before (HEV). Aka Single Point contact. Still looking for a new company site to start all over again. Hiring and expanding are freezed.

Pros

The people are fantastic. The majority of managers are caring and supportive, and there are a lot of willing mentors. This, plus the fact that the teams are usually stretched thin, means that starting your career here is a great learning experience. You get to be involved in many different projects and take on more responsibility than you might at a bigger company. Work is fast-paced but with decent work/life balance. There are interesting opportunities to work with people globally.

Cons

In the last couple years, we were spun off and rebranded, saw our stock price tank, changed CEOs, and now are going through an acquisition. It’s a lot of change in a short time and it’s hard dealing with an uncertain future. There is also a tendency to shut down disagreements, and a lack of transparency around negative news. It’s also hard to keep advancing in the company and learning new things after a while.
