Pros

Working at Delta was an amazing experience. One contribution to my positive experience was having a sit down job. Having a sit down job comes in handy for those who can't stand too long and/or have back problems. Another contribution to my positive experience was having great supervisors. Another contribution to my positive experience was having great team leaders. The team leaders I had did a great job of showing me what needed to be done and how to make rate. Another contribution to my positive experience was being able to come back to Delta. After being gone for a while, Delta allowed me to come back and work. Another contribution to my positive experience was having paid time off. Another contribution to my positive experience was being a molding machine operator. I started off on switch, and then I was put in molding. Working in the molding department was positive for me because I got to work on machines that made parts that the switch department used.

Cons

No cons from me :-)

Pros

The benefits and insurance packages are excellent. The industry (outdoor power equipment) is very niche and there are currently multiple opportunities for the company to provoke positive and exciting change.

Cons

The desire to become a destination employer does not match how management treats and talks about employees. Management should never talk poorly about an employee or former employee to another employee. You will not find an employee with a new or fresh idea here, and it seems as if most of upper management is too bored to go above and beyond. They simply show up everyday for a paycheck, not because they care or want to bring innovative solutions to the table. No room for growth or advancement unless you are an engineer. Managers get put into positions that they have no experience or background in. The “new” management team lacks empathy for the identity and culture of the organization and the employees who have built it. There is no training or opportunities to learn for employees who want to do well here.
