I love working with the many different guest we have at Dickies each year. That is the best part of my job. This is the best retirement job ever. I work with so many interesting people. I am able to help solve the most of our guest problems to ensure their experience with Dickies is the best. If not, I can usually ask my supervisor and they can handle the situation.

There has only been one pay raise since they opened, which was only $1. So new people, that are not even trained by Dickies make the same money as a 5-year veteran. We are the lowest paid venue in the Fort Worth / Dallas area. They are terrible communicators. They don't believe in placing people according to their skill-set. They just put employee #1 in open spot #1. It's very frustrating now because it used to be so fun when we had an actual GS Coordinator, instead of two Security Coordinators. But it's hard when I have to work with someone just hired that hasn't even had a tour of the building. Now I have to take up their slack and they make the same money I do.
