Pros

It was always someone's birthday and they always brought in food for the whole firm to celebrate.

Cons

HR would say there was tons of work but when reaching out to the upper attorneys, there was never work they wanted you to complete. Everybody in the office was constantly on the internet or doing non work things but unless you were part of the "cool" kids you would be written up. Jokes with other assistants were taken to HR as "truth" to use against you at a later date. One paralegal got along with no one in the firm but her attorney and was placed in the upper corner office in the building so she would rarely have to interact with other employees. All the Jr. Attorneys that were employed during my time there have left and done amazing things with their careers by either starting their own firms or finding firms that actually appreciate their hard work. Promises that were made about working from home (during the interview/hire process) were later found to be just empty promises. Watched closely by others where you would clock in at using their tracking software required for employees. The gossip was worse than a wild fire in California between HR sharing things with other employees that shouldn't be and employees listening through the wall to HR's office to find out what was being discussed. There is absolutely no room for growth. If you're hired as a receptionist that is where you will stay. Straight from HRs mouth

Pros

The lawyers are great. They are smart, hardworking, and interested in success.

Cons

The partners are completely disconnected from reality: "we have to pay for medical and dental benefits for our families, so administrative staff should have to do so as well." As though the income for a partner is even remotely close to the income paid to administrative staff. Secondly, the firm administrator is a micro-manager who cannot and will not ever allow anyone to give feedback to her that she did not originate. The firm wants million-dollar clients, yet is unwilling to spend the money required to make the Seattle office look like it is successful enough to handle million-dollar litigation.

Pros

Nice view. They offer snacks.

Cons

They micromanage every aspect of your work. They make you check in every morning to be accounted for. They have people in management who have no business being in management. It’s high school drama.
