Pros
As a sales person the potential commission are huge. This is unfortunately mitigated by the comments below. It helps to get appointments with clients when you work for the largest data center company around, but this too is offset by the comments below.
Cons
As another person pointed out the culture of the company revolves around attempts at bullying and intimidation by management. They are well known in the business community where I work as unethical and manipulative in their dealings with both employees and clients. Management would fly into town to meet with clients to try and "close a deal" but mostly trying to claim credit for a sale while alienating both client and sales person with their incredible arrogance. Inevitably management caused the loss of more deals than they helped to win and when they caused the loss they would blame it on the sales person, typically in front of a room full of your peers. Finally, they had absolutely no problem with taking advantage of clients trust or lack of understanding to overcharge or provide poor contract terms. They would also routinely cheat sales people out of commission earned by pointing to clauses in the commission plan that basically allowed them to deny commission completely based on "management discretion".
