Pros
- cool people to work with depending on who you are talking to
- decent starter salary for juniors
- people are polite to work with
- the business overall is steady and successful
Cons
- for a remote position, no flexible hours. it's clock-in, clock-out with texts in the morning and when you log off. 8 hours everyday. no moving around time under usual circumstances when managing your workload (i.e. one day 9 hours and another day 7 hours) or you get talks from your team lead.
- no proper project management.
- no feedback process/culture.
- sometimes higher management feel like they can talk to you like your are their PA without writing up a proper task request, even though they are not in your department/team
- reduction of benefits over time
- strong belief of hierarchy for a small company, especially when it comes to lack transparency in processes like team structuring, contract update, career progression and other processes involve employer or personnel decisions.
