Pros
One great assistant store manager.
Cons
Long hours, not enough pay. You're hired as part time but work full time. They don't like being flexible with your hours. They expect you to get 5 pallets out in 45 minutes and be the back up cashier. Kind of difficult to get stock out when you're on the register for 2 hours at a time because the store is so busy. And then you get yelled at because you didn't get your pallets finished in the time frame they gave you. Customers tear open packages and steal the items. They allow their kids to run around the store and break stuff or leave the toys all over the floor for you to pick up. Some employees don't even bother to try to put their go backs where they belong and throw them wherever they feel like it. Management treats you like you're nothing more than gum stuck on the bottom of their shoe. Severely short staffed because people quit after a week of working at Dirt Cheap. Long term employees are turning in their 2 weeks notice because they are fed up with the mistreatment. Employees talk about other employees behind their backs. The store itself is a safety issue. Stuff all over the floors, pallets all over the place making it difficult for both customers and employees to walk through aisles and in the wide open areas on the main floor.
