Pros
Exciting work, exciting product and with genuine, passionate people working there. Everyone is excited about what they are doing so it is an inspiring environment to work in. There are some really good people in management here as well, in spite of some bad apples.
Cons
People's passion and willingness to put in effort is largely taken for granted and abused. Loads of unnecessary stress due to poorly defined priorities, poor internal processes and a select few poor people in management which all creates a pressure cooker that ultimately ends in employee burnout. Expect to be overworked and not see any real benefit for it in terms of career progression, benefits or pay. I also don't think I achieved optimum results from all this work - most of the overwork is due to lengthy meetings, a chaotic structure, and micromanagement. Management will often schedule meetings after work hours and then say that employees are "choosing" to overwork - diminishing any of their own responsibility. When more experienced staff members raise issues, the company turns a blind eye to criticism, preferring to start afresh with new people than address any underlying issues. As an employee, I never felt comfortable raising genuine concerns with management which is the first and most crucial problem.
