Pros

I joined Distributed Sun when it was exclusively a solar developer and it has since expanded into many of its clean energy cousins through the launch of truCurrent, Distributed Sun's microgrid, mobility, and virtual power company. While I started in the financial modeling space, I gained exposure to all aspects of the company early on, which presented new opportunities for professional growth and ultimately put me on a different career trajectory that I thoroughly enjoy to this day. There's rarely a dull moment at the company, and the close-knit team is always willing to help out with the task at hand. The importance and growth rate of distributed energy resources are just now reaching an inflection point, and I am confident in the company's ability to lead the way.

Cons

Very rarely does the company hire someone for a singular purpose - as another reviewer said, this can lead to a startup company feel at times, which is not always the best fit for certain people. As serial entrepreneurs, the company's cofounders value team members who are self-starters that require minimal handholding.

Pros

Competitive salaries, experienced team, innovative approach

Cons

Although Distributed Sun is an established company, its innovation can result in a start up approach which may not be of interest to all potential candidates.

Pros

The staff were all very motivated and driven folks who were driven to build out solar across the country. The employees were ready to pivot at a moments notice to accomplish the task at hand.

Cons

Management was very opaque to investors and to employees. While they were very involved in the day to day, the medium to long term strategy was absent.
