Pros
9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), great work/life balance, decent pay/benefits, onsite gym and cafeteria, RSUs and profit sharing, ESPP, bonuses, 401k matching, (healthy) snacks. I can only speak for myself on this but awesome teammates/function who are friendly, actually work as a team and are supportive both in career and personal matters, and no micromanaging. I think Dolby is working hard on large initiatives such as sustainability and DBI. Financial stability - Dolby hardly has debt.
Cons
I think there are some people who come off entitled and expect immediate solutions that only would benefit their agenda vs the bigger picture. You may see some 'cliquey-ness.' Not a lot of upward mobility or recognition reflecting in salary raises/bonuses - you/your manager really has to fight for it or find creative ways. You're not prioritized if you're not in a revenue generating group. No teeth from management - a lot of 'wrist slapping' and letting people do what they want when it comes to spending money or not following procedures and then want to complain about it later.
