Pros

- Extremely simple concepts to pick up - No previous experience required - On the job training - Opportunity to advance positions within the workplace - Everything is $1 so no pricing needed - Management is generally helpful and knowledgeable (Store Managers, not corporate)

Cons

- Horrible Pay (minimum wage) - Management barely makes more than minimum wage. Seriously. - Too much work for too little money - Corporate/CEOs are completely out of touch with individual stores and expect the impossible - Work load is completely unfair and unbalanced - Hard to find competent people for the amount of pay offered - No employee discounts at all - Only part time offered unless you're management - Not enough hours for payroll - Expected to come in on days off at a moment's notice - Schedule constantly changes - Some of the rudest customers I have ever met I currently work as an Assistant Manager and I can tell you that the stress is not worth the pay at all. I'm officially listed as Part-Time but I'm overworked and essentially working Full-Time each week. This may seem like a good thing but by doing this, I don't receive full-time benefits and things of that sort. I'm essentially being taken advantage of.

Pros

Leadership Benefits Culture Community Engagement

Cons

We are sometimes challenged with outdated technology. However, we are updating systems currently. We have also had a turnover in the C-suite leadership.

Pros

I enjoyed working at Dollar Tree because it allowed me to lead a team, help develop associates, and make a difference in my store. I liked the fast-paced environment and the variety of challenges that came with running daily operations. The experience helped me grow as a manager, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and build great relationships with both my team and customers.

Cons

The biggest challenges were limited staffing, heavy workloads, and a lack of support from the district level when issues arose. PTO requests were often denied due to business needs, which made it difficult to achieve a good work-life balance. While these challenges could be frustrating at times.
