Pros

The orientation covered everything about working at Dollar Tree including breaks, loss prevention, how employees should be treated with respect and an understanding that it will take you a while to learn new skills. Will hire anyone for entry level positions.

Cons

The fact that management doesn't care about their own advice, disrespects their employees by yelling down to them, shooting the breeze with each other during work time and the sporadic part time hours. Also the management was on different pages and had no coordination what so ever. Lack of full time opportunities. Felt no respect as an employee. Minimum salary for a lot of work to open up a new store.

Pros

I enjoyed working at Dollar Tree because it allowed me to lead a team, help develop associates, and make a difference in my store. I liked the fast-paced environment and the variety of challenges that came with running daily operations. The experience helped me grow as a manager, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and build great relationships with both my team and customers.

Cons

The biggest challenges were limited staffing, heavy workloads, and a lack of support from the district level when issues arose. PTO requests were often denied due to business needs, which made it difficult to achieve a good work-life balance. While these challenges could be frustrating at times.
