Pros

There are genuinely good people working there.

Cons

Expect the following: - Lateness/mess in employee administration, confusion in hiring and payroll (the worst workplace in this regard, in my personal experience). - Incredibly poor onboarding system for such a vast and multisites workplace - An incredibly toxic HQ work culture (e.g. blatant priviliges/favouritism, paranoia/distrusts/rivalries between managers/leadership, unclear managerial structures) - High turnover. Some people do work here for a long time, but those people will be the ones to tell you that they are not surprised why people would leave the company. - Unwillingness to reflect on a very poor working culture and infrastructural ineffectiveness, let alone change, improve, and innovate as a workplace. Relies on employees to adapt (suck up) to the inadequate working environment.

Pros

Close knit excellent maintenance teams that seem to do the impossible with the amount of understaffing over the years. Couldn't ask for a better place or people to work with. I have loved my time at this mill. Domtar has no idea at the quality of the institution\people that they are casting off into the abyss.

Cons

The corporation as a whole I am not a fan of. It seems they acquired Resolute FP to strategically dismantle it. They have closed several of the RFP mills and Coosa Pines an absolute institution that has been the backbone of the community for over 75 years is the next on the chopping block in May 2026.
